Family Law for Mental Health Professionals Training
Counselors, therapists, social workers, school counselors, teachers and mental health professionals are in a unique position to help families manage the chaos of divorce. These families NEED your guidance and support, but it's hard to know how to help if you are under-informed or confused about the divorce process. Here is your opportunity to learn more about the actual legal procedures involved in the divorce process in both Illinois and Missouri.
Taught by Marta J. Papa, a highly experienced and sought after divorce attorney, mediator and trainer, this course will guide you through the legal maze of divorce, explaining the steps and key legal terms along the way. You will leave this class with an in-depth knowledge of the legal procedures involved in the divorce process......knowledge that will allow you to better guide and encourage your clients, students, co-workers or friends who may be facing divorce. This course meets the Missouri Family Law Training requirement to be included on St. Louis County's Approved Mediator List. It has also been approved for 12 hours of CEU credits. The cost for this course is $400.00 for the training plus $100.00 for the Family Law reference manual (total $500.00).

40-Hour Divorce Mediation Training
Join mediation trainer Marta Papa for a highly interactive training session in Family Mediation. This course is designed to provide participants with a clear understanding of the role of mediator as it differs from that of legal advocate, judge and counselor. The dynamic five day training schedule will include videotaped demonstrations, lectures and discussions as well as numerous opportunities for role-play and coaching. We will discuss alternative dispute resolution strategies, domestic violence issues, financial and custody matters, and family dynamics. Each participant will receive a detailed course manual. The course has been approved for 40 hours of CLE/CEU credits.
Completion of the 40-Hour (5-day) course meets the requirements of Illinois Supreme Court Rule 99 and Missouri Supreme Court Rule 88 to be a court-approved mediator (local requirements may vary).

Mediation Office in a Box (Advanced Mediation Training)
Get everything you need to set up your mediation office at this one-of-a-kind workshop. you will receive all of the following in this unique 2 day course:
1. A Client Mediation Notebook, with inserts and tabs, to give to your clients at their initial consultation.
2. A Mediator's Notebook, with inserts and tabs, to help you keep all the client documents organized.
3. A Proposal Notebook, with inserts and tabs, so you have a model and template to work from in the future with your clients.
4. A software package my office developed with templates of all the forms necessary to complete a mediation involving Custody, Child Support, Division of Assets & Debts, and Maintenance
5. A template to draft a "Memo of Understanding", outlining your clients' agreements.
6. My DVD set, with 4 seperate 50 minute discs, demonstrating how to mediate: the Initial Consult, Division of Assets and Debts, Parenting and Custody, and the Finances of the parties, including Child Support and Maintenance (DVD set is a $200 value).

Advanced Custody Mediation Training
Participants of the two-day Advanced Custody Mediation Training will cover in-depth topics such as Choosing the Right Style for Custody Mediation, Conflict Resolution for Child Custody Cases, Anger Management Techniques, Dealing with High Conflict Clients and How to Mediate Custody When the Parties Have Reached and Impasse. This training is eligible for 10 hours of CLE/CEU credits. The cost for this course is $400.00 for the training plus $100.00 for the Advanced Custody reference manual (total $500.00).
